This Project with MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms and Standard Bank Group will create food and sustainable building materials using the waste biomass from Namibia’s “encroacher bush” which will in turn clear land for wildlife and preserve water supplies.
Using biomass from Namibia’s “encroacher bush” this process protects wildlife habitat and makes food and sustainable building materials all at once.
The mushroom farm is operating out of shipping containers in undeveloped land, the cultivators turn the waste biomass into mushrooms and use the waste from cultivation to make strong carbon sequestering blocks.
We have developed new formwork from dropstitch inflatable technology that can be used over and over again eliminating the need for costly and unsustainable formwork.
Dignified Interiors made from bio-based products. Everything shown here (except tv and glass) from the floor to rugs, to furniture can all be made of bio-based products.
