The lakefront corner-lot site of this house created a situation where there are three front facades. This view in-the-round gave an opportunity to create an abstract formal expression.

 The form of the building was derived from the very literal condition of the zoning envelope. From there the volume was subtracted where programmatically necessary, and to sculpt a massing the references a nautical shape. 

Once entered the home opens up to a two-story living area. Several of the building features are tied together by a long ribbon-like wooden form that creates an abstract three dimensional labyrinth - Labyrinths have a spiritual significance for the home owner.
